About our batik collection

Our batik falls into two kinds: sarongs already sewn into a tube and ready to wear, and kain batik lepas — also called batik panjang — sold as an uncut length. Which one a product is is stated on its own page.

A sewn batik sarong is worn like a kain pelikat: stepped into and folded at the waist. It is used as everyday household cloth, as prayer cloth and for sleeping. The names and motifs we stock include Tiga Serangkai, Daun Dewa, Mataram, Manis Sayang, MRS, Janjiku, Dua Kelapa, Pekalongan and Chop Doa Ibu.

An uncut length is the more flexible buy. It is sewn into a sarong, a kebaya or a shirt, used as a baby sling, and used to cover the deceased. The size of each piece is stated on its product page — 220cm x 90cm or 110cm x 235cm, for example — so you can check it covers the cut you have in mind.

Our Terengganu batik is sold in a four-layer premium print, both sewn and unsewn. The pattern is printed across soft cotton that grows more comfortable with washing. Because each piece is cut from the same bolt, the pattern on your piece may sit slightly differently from the photograph.

Wash batik in cold water and keep it apart from light colours on the first wash. Do not bleach, and dry in the shade so the colour does not fade. The price you see is already the wholesale price. There is no sign-up, no membership fee and no minimum order — you can buy a single piece. For a large order, WhatsApp us and we will quote you.

Frequently Asked Questions

A batik sarong is already sewn into a tube and can be worn straight away. Kain batik lepas, or batik panjang, is sold as an uncut length, so you can sew it yourself or use it as cloth. Each product page states which one it is.

Yes. An uncut batik length is commonly used as a shroud, and it is one of the main reasons buyers take the full size. The size of each piece is stated on its product page so you can check before buying.

The size varies by design. Among the ones we stock are 220cm x 90cm and 110cm x 235cm. The exact size of each piece is stated on its own product page.

It refers to a printing process that lays four layers of colour, so the pattern is deeper and sharper than an ordinary print. We stock it both sewn and unsewn.

The pattern is the same, but its placement may differ slightly. Every piece is cut from the same bolt, so the part of the pattern that lands in the middle of your piece may not match the photograph exactly.
